A Picture is Worth 1,000 Lines of G-Code

I’m building a 300 Blackout Remington 700 rifle!

Picked up a bottom metal and a Bell & Carlson stock thinking they were “drop in” parts. Well far from it!

So how do I easily solve this problem? Take a photograph of the part, import into SolidWorks, quickly trace the photo, import into SprutCAM then mill on the Tormach PCNC! The real takeaway here is how quick and powerful it can be to photograph and model a part in SolidWorks.

I wasn’t particularly excited to do this – I’ve been busy lately and was hoping to build this gun “for fun” on the side – but the Tormach really makes this an easy job.
